The Grand County Sheriff’s Office reported the death of 32-year-old BASE jumper Christopher Nielsen on the morning of Wednesday, July 20.
After receiving a call, first responders found Nielsen at the base of Parriott Mesa in Castle Valley but were unable to revive him. Officials have not disclosed the cause of the accident.
Nielsen was an experienced skydiver and an employee of Skydive Buckeye in Arizona.
