Students learn building skills through USU-Moab program

USU-Moab instructor Aaron Thompson stands with high school students Traedyn Brewer, Israel Gomez, Brayden Troutt, Maison Moyle, Bailey Shelton, Austin Johnson and Morgan Alvey. The high school students are enrolled in the USU Building Construction program, a one-year certificate program that can be rolled into an associate’s degree. The students will learn skills in house construction, including concrete, framing and finish experience that will help prepare them for jobs in construction management or as a general contractor. The USU-Moab program has been running for 20 years and has completed 17 houses in the Moab area.
