Ashlyn Dalton is Helen M. Knight Elementary’s Mayor-picked Student of the Month for May.
Ashlyn is a sixth-grade student in Ms. Kristi Nichols’ class. She is the daughter of Shaun and Kathryn Dalton.
Ashlyn was nominated by school officials for her patience and kindness. Every sixth-grade teacher has commented on Ashlyn’s willingness to help others with their work.
“When Ashlyn participates in group work, she contributes useful ideas but is also a great listener. Ashlyn adds positive energy to our classroom,” they said.
Ashlyn’s teachers said they are excited for Ashlyn to continue with her leadership skills as she transitions into middle school.
