Congrats to Edyn Rhoads and Vance Meadows! Margaret L. Hopkin students of the month!

Staff at Margaret L. Hopkin Middle School announced that the April students of the month are Edyn Rhoads and Vance Meadows.

The teachers of seventh-grader Edyn Rhoads say they notice that she is kind, helpful, and studious. She has a great attitude and often has a funny story to share or a stellar answer to an academic question.

Throughout the year, Edyn has really excelled at her schoolwork. She can focus on her assignments and work diligently until the task is complete. She efficiently utilizes all of her class time to continue learning, and can often be seen diving into a thick book when she has the opportunity.

She is also very easy to work with and a great group partner, providing guidance and leadership while tackling tricky assignments and projects. Edyn’s thoughtful, respectful and pleasant demeanor has earned her the respect of classmates and teachers.

She likes to play volleyball, and she likes the Harry Potter series.  Edyn likes butterflies and her favorite color is mint green. She is good at science and one of her goals is to get good grades.  Edyn’s advice to others? “An “A” a day, keeps the doctor away!”

Eighth-grader Vance Meadows is an exemplary student. He is mature, reliable and hardworking.  Vance is a very responsible student who makes up any work that he misses promptly. During class discussions, he is always ready with the correct answer. Vance works well with his peers cooperatively which adds to the class greatly.

Vance takes pride in his work and his grades show that. Even though he has a quiet demeanor, he shows confidence in his actions and behavior. Vance is respectful to his classmates and all the staff.  He has all the qualities to represent our school through the Honor Society and his academics.

Vance’s favorite color is red and his favorite food is chicken.  His favorite dog breeds are German shepherds and golden retrievers, and his favorite sport is basketball. Vance’s favorite NBA team is the Utah Jazz and NFL team is the Green Bay Packers.

Vance’s advice to others is: “You miss 100% of the shots you do not take!”

Congratulations, Edyn and Vance!
