In Memory of – Clifford Carter

May 17, 1959 – March 3, 2024

Clifford Carte—a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend—passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by love on March 3, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and cherished memories.

Clifford was a hardworking individual, excelling as both a drill rigger and a semi-truck driver throughout his career. Alongside his brothers, he ventured into entrepreneurship, co-founding an appliance store that served the community with pride.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Clifford found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid outdoorsman, finding solace in camping trips, exhilaration in hunting excursions, and tranquility in fishing expeditions, always in the company of beloved family and friends.

One of Clifford’s true passions was woodworking. His skilled hands crafted exquisite small furniture pieces. His craftsmanship was admired by many, a testament to his talent and dedication to his craft.

Among his many interests, Clifford enjoyed the camaraderie of sharing moments with loved ones over a glass of his favorite alcoholic beverage. His warmth, humor, and generous spirit endeared him to all who knew him.

Clifford’s most treasured possession was his wife, Amy Carter. Together for 40 years, they shared a fiery and passionate relationship, weathering life’s storms with unwavering love and commitment. Their bond was a testament to the enduring power of love, proving that no obstacle was too great when faced together.

Clifford is survived by his beloved wife, Amy Carter, with whom he shared 40 years of enduring love and devotion. He is also survived by his brothers, Bill Carter, Bob Carter, and Scott Kimber; along with a large extended family and countless friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Corrine; his brother, Don; his sister, Michelle; and his son, Jamie.

The Carter family extends a special thanks to the team at Home Nursing for Utah, and an even more heartfelt gratitude to his longtime caregiver, Christina Behling. Christina lovingly cared for him through thick and thin, and he referred to her as his “Angel.”

A celebration of Clifford’s life will be held at Old City Park on April 20, starting at noon.

May he rest in peace, knowing he was loved and admired by all who knew him.Family and friends are invited to share tributes online at SpanishValleyMortuary.com.
