A word from the library cat – Library Leap Year Book Sale

Greetings, dear readers! I have some very exciting news to share. It’s a Leap Year and we all know what that means–an extra day to read! In that spirit, there’s going to be an extra-special, one-day-only, giant book sale on Thursday, February 29 here at the Grand County Public Library!

The hardworking Friends of the Library have been stocking up on books all year. And on February 29, they’re going to pack the library’s Large Meeting Room full of these books for you to take home.

Here’s the kicker: if you bring your own bag, you can fill it up with books for only $1! The books in the lobby are not included in this special sale, but I’m sure you’ll have no problem finding lots of treasures in the sale room.

As a Library Cat, I have a particular fondness for books. When stacked neatly, they make a very comfortable napping spot or convenient cover for my library surveillance work. Plus, they’re full of wild stories and fascinating information. I’m pretty sure that some of these tales seep directly into my dreams while I’m napping on the books.

So mark your calendars for this very special day, and pick out a large, sturdy bag to stuff full of books. Then head down to the Moab Library branch on Thursday, February 29 anytime between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. Hope to see you there!
