Cosmo’s Corner: A pop-up bubbles and popsicle party

Meow and hello, friends, it’s Cosmo the Library Cat, and I’m fairly hopping with anticipation for Grand County Public Library’s upcoming Popsicle Social! We’re hoping you’ll join the fun as we kick off our “All Together Now” Summer Reading Program with a little party. If you come to the Center Street Ball Fields across from the library at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, June 9, you’ll see for yourselves why I’m so excited.

We’ll be treating our library friends (that’s you!) to yummy popsicles, fresh popcorn and other pop-themed snacks. There will be a bubble-making machine, a giant bubble display, as well as a bubble-popping dance party with music!

If that’s not enough, you’ll also get the chance to work together on sticker murals and we’ll have sidewalk chalk to make art. I even heard a rumor about prizes for the best sidewalk masterpieces!

The Popsicle Social is free and all ages are welcome. It’s a great chance to get together as friends and community members and celebrate the beginning of summer. It’s sure to be a hopping good time and we hope you’ll pop in and join the festivities! Ciao for now!
