In order to have Grand County School District athletic activities go on for the school year during the COVID-19 pandemic, Grand County High School’s COVID-19 “Test-to-Play” team volunteered to arrive at 6:45 a.m. for 26 testing sessions, each lasting for about an hour.

“Their dedication through volunteerism to see students got the opportunities to compete went above and beyond caring for others,” said GCHS Athletic and Activities Director Ron Dolphin.

To recognize and appreciate these volunteers, Canyonlands Jeep Rental and Moab Adventure Center donated funds to purchase local restaurant gift cards.

“This team is truly an amazing group of people and deserve a great deal of appreciation, support, and respect for their service,” said Dolphin. “We are so grateful that Canyonlands Jeep Rental and the Moab Adventure Center were able to provide a generous donation to help us thank the team.”
