National Park Service hosting public meeting on traffic at Arches National Park

Visitation to Arches National Park increased by over 90% within the last 11 years, according to park officials. The result is long wait times for visitors and traffic congestion within and surrounding the park.

The National Park Service is holding a meeting for the public to learn about continuing efforts to address traffic congestion and improve visitor experience at Arches National Park.

“We want to improve access to the park, maintain a world-class visitor experience, promote safety, and protect resources. We look forward to working with the public and local leaders as we move to our next steps,” said Arches National Park Superintendent Kate Cannon in a statement.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 5 p.m. at Grand Center (182 N. 500 West). For further information, contact the park’s visitor information office at (435) 719-2299.
