The Grand County High School wrestling team competed at the Desert Hills Invitational in St. George on Friday and Saturday, Dec.7 and 8, going head-to-head against 10 other schools and going 2-7-1.
The Red Devils beat Monument Valley and Dixie, and came away with a tie versus Page, Arizona.
In the tournament, Carson Whitney went 10-0, Jarom Shumway went 8-2, Chris Thompson went 7-3, and Jimmie Johnson, Sam Kesavadhana and Trent Elmore each went 6-4.
The Red Devils were scheduled to compete against San Juan on Wednesday, Dec. 12. They’re also scheduled to compete at the Manti Invitational on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 14 and 15. Competition begins Friday at 2 p.m., and continues Saturday at 9 a.m.
