Golf tournament donates 2,000 to Grand County schools

The second annual Terry Page Memorial Golf Tournament donated a total of $12,000 to various Grand County High School groups.

The golf tournament took place on June 23 at the Moab Golf Club. The annual event was founded in 2017 as a tribute to Terry Page, who was a local supporter of youth, sports and activities.

Four thousand dollars was donated to each the Grand County High School football team and the Grand County High School volleyball team.

An additional $4,000 was donated this year to the Grand County High School Marching Band and the cheer squad, with $2,000 presented to each.

Terry Page’s sons, T. C. Page and Colt Page, presented the checks to the coaches and school advisors on Tuesday, Aug. 28.

Connor Guerrero, a senior at Grand County High School and sophomore Hannah Tuft are two of Page’s grandchildren and they made the formal announcement.

The success of the Terry Page Memorial Golf Tournament is due to the generous support of many local businesses and golfers. There are also several out-of-town businesses and golfers who participated and are friends or alumni of Terry Page and Grand County High School.
