“Spoonwright” carves out a place in the kitchen

Small curled shavings come off the razor-sharp spoke-shave of “spoonwright” Troy Anderson as he crafts a kitchen spatula from a recycled quarter-sawn white oak wine barrel stave at the 26th Annual Moab Arts Festival in Swanny City Park on Saturday, May 26. Anderson is from Fremont, where he and his two sons carve cooking implements from reclaimed or salvaged wood.
