Kay Stoye (front, center) celebrated her 103rd birthday on Monday, April 9, with family, friends and plenty of birthday cake for everyone at the Canyonlands Care Center. She is pictured with family members Bill Stoye (back row, left), Rita and Mark (Stoye) Hampson, Mike Stoye and Astrid Stoye (front, right). When asked to what she attributed her life’s longevity, Kay said, “I’ve kept a very positive attitude about things most of my life.” Kay was born on April 9, 1915, in Modesto, California, and was active in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II.
