I would like to thank Castle Valley Mayor Dave Erley and Second Chance Wildlife Rehabilitation for organizing the annual Banff Mountain Film Festival again this year. The two evenings of amazing films inspire in so many ways. They portray human courage, determination and athletic feats, as well as inspiring stories of social justice and environmental conservation. I believe that courage is required from those that bring these movies to us here in Moab (thanks, Dave) – especially given the political jeopardy that minority groups and our public lands are in with this new resident of the White House and his bought-and-paid-for cronies in Congress. Thank you for reminding us all of what matters the most in such a beautiful way.
