Painting in a fish bowl

Pedestrians watch local artists Sandi Snead (left) and Sarah Hamingson (right) through the window of The Gallery Moab on Thursday, July 17. Of working in front of the public Snead said, “It’s good for us; artists are usually introverted.” The gallery features 20 local artists who work with 3D-art, oils, pastels, watercolors, acrylics and more. The gallery is open from 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Monday. The gallery also offers a wide variety of classes including art history, leaf-castings and paint-alongs. There is a sign-up sheet in the gallery located at 87 N. Main St. [Photo by Bethany Blitz / Moab Sun News]
