Jocelyn Salazar is the student of the month at Helen M. Knight Elementary for December. Salazar is a student in Ms. Hamingson’s fourth grade class. Her parents are Jaime and Francisca Gonzalez.
Ms. Hamingson said that Salazar is a hardworking student with a positive attitude.
“She always arrives with a smile on her face, and remains cheerful throughout the day. She puts forth her best effort at all times,” Hamingson said. “When she does not understand something, she does not hesitate to ask, and she does not give up.”
Ms. Hamingson said it is because of Salazar’s attitude and hard work that she is making great progress in English and is learning what she needs to know as a fourth grader.
