Hallie Packard, a third grade student at Helen M. Knight Elementary, was recognized as the student of the month by Mayor Dave Sakrison at the Tuesday, Dec. 11 Moab City Council meeting.
Packard is the daughter of Travis and Janae Packard. She was nominated by her teacher Mr. Strawinski.
“Hallie is an excellent student who is always willing to lend a hand around the classroom, often without having to be asked. Academically, Hallie is an exemplary student not only for her intellect, but also for her perseverance. Even if Hallie doesn’t grasp a concept or idea straight away, she will work all the harder to make sure she develops a deeper understanding,” said Mr. Strawinski. “Hallie’s attitude and tenacity towards education make her an outstanding student and an asset to our class.”
