Dear Editor:
The recent revelation that San Juan County was involved in a $500,000 scheme to fight the designation of Bears Ears and later promote its reduction in size strengthens the argument that the previous collection of elected officials did not have the skills, judgment or level of integrity needed to properly administer county government. I am very thankful that the newly elected Commissioners Grayeyes and Maryboy have added some common sense and fiscal responsibility to our county to the south.
