Moab Mayor Emily Niehaus has been elected to the board of directors of the Utah League of Cities and Towns (ULCT).
Niehaus was elected to the board on Friday, Sept. 14, during the ULCT 2018 Annual Convention in Salt Lake City.
Niehaus will serve as the ULCT representative for the cities and towns located in Grand, Carbon, Emery and San Juan counties.
“I am so excited to serve and help our four counties have a greater voice with the Utah Legislature,” Niehaus said.
The non-partisan organization serves 246 incorporated municipalities in Utah, representing municipal government interests at the state and federal levels. ULCT also provides information, training and technical assistance to local officials on municipal issues.
