Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah (right), met with Grand County High School junior Ethan Scott Clark during a Youth Civic Engagement Award ceremony at the Utah County Courthouse in Provo on April 25.
Clark was one of 28 students in the state to receive the award, which honors students who engage with their communities and serve as role models of civic participation.
Students were recognized for their involvement in government, leadership, and vocational and service organizations, and they received personalized letters of recommendation from Rep. Chaffetz.
Clark was nominated by Grand County High School guidance counselor Jennifer Benally. He is the son of Laird and Kate Clark of Moab.
