Virginia Lee Pennington Schocknmyer, 75, passed away on July 29, 2015, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She spent the last years of her life surrounded by her husband and children. She will be missed on this earth.
Virginia is survived by her husband Emil Schocknmyer; four children: Dwayne (Lori) Schocknmyer, Jerry (Pam) Schocknmyer, Betty Sue Stoffle, and Brenda (Charlie) Bennett; two sisters: Louise Borich and Ana Mae Carpenter; brother Johnny Pennington; grandchildren Maggie, Jamie, Colby, Corey, Taylor, Courtney, Brendan and Dylan; nine great grandchildren, as well as too many nieces and nephews to count.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ruby and Samuel Pennington; sister-in-law Jenni Pennington, and brother–in-law Claude Carpenter.
She will be missed greatly by her family and friends; even in the end, she continued to touch lives like only she could do. Mom, we will miss you, but promise to carry on your memory.
A memorial service was held on Monday, August 10, 2015, at Spanish Valley Mortuary, followed by interment at the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
