Jerry Lee Walker, December 13, 1930 – August 2, 2015

Jerry Lee Walker, 84, passed away on August 2, 2015, at Moab Regional Hospital.

Jerry was born December 13, 1930, in Moab, Utah, to Vivian Philander “Krug” Walker and Agnes Somerville Walker. Jerry went to school in Moab, graduating from Grand County High School. He was a star football and basketball player for Grand County High. After high school, he joined the Air Force and later joined the FAA, where he made his career as a Radar Tech. FAA moved him around and he lived all over the U.S. fulfilling his work duties. After his retirement, he moved back to Moab in the 1980s.

Jerry loved sports, and was a professional bowler. He also had a great love for music. He had recording studio in his home that he used for himself and others. He would sing karaoke when given the opportunity.

He is survived by his wife Clara “Lou” of Moab; five children: Mike, Kirk, Carolyn, Jim and Christa; brother Jimmie Walker; niece Wendy Tibbetts; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Patsy and Jack.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at Spanish Valley Mortuary. Interment followed at the Grand Valley Cemetery with military rites.
