Mountain biker sets new FKT speed record on White Rim Trail

Professional cyclist Hannah Otto claimed the women’s fastest known time (FKT) on Moab’s White Rim Trail on May 2, 2025, completing the demanding 100-mile route in 6 hours, 36 minutes, and 51 seconds. Otto’s achievement on the iconic Canyonlands trail beats the previous women’s record by nearly 15 minutes.

Hollywood film production brings street closures to downtown Moab this week

According to Bega Metzner, director of the Moab to Monument Valley Film Commission, filming will require closing Main Street from 100 North to 100 South, as well as Center Street from Main to South 100 East, from 5:00 a.m. to around noon. The production has requested no overnight parking on Tuesday, July 29 to prepare for the early morning shoot.
