Cosmo’s Corner: Step Right Up to the Circuit Circus!

Cat magician in a suit with a glowing sparkler, surrounded by vintage bulbs. Enchanted performance setting.

Attention, humans! Cosmo the Library Cat here. Something sparkly and science-y is happening at Grand County Public Library! A circus is coming! But not the clown car kind. This one’s called the Circuit Circus, and it’s a hands-on STEAM event perfect for families who love to tinker, create, and get a little curious.

At this event, you’ll get to explore circuit clay; special (non-toxic!) clay that conducts electricity and lets you create fun, squishy circuits that actually work. Hurray for science! There will also be paper circuits, where cards and creations light up using LEDs and copper tape. I’ve been observing closely from a very official spot nearby, and I can confirm: these things twinkle and glow, ideas spark, and joy spreads. It might even be more fun than batting a pen off a desk… and that is truly saying something!

This program is for humans of most ages (with a reminder to grownups that there will be batteries and small parts). It’s a fun, user-friendly way to explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math, all things that make the world a little brighter, and occasionally more interesting to supervise.
