Hello, friends, it’s me again, Cosmo the Library Cat with my weekly dispatch. As a busy ambassador for Grand County Library, therapy cat, and fashion model, I’ve mastered the ancient art of energy conservation. My philosophy? Stay chill, keep your cool, and avoid all unnecessary exertions – especially when it’s hot enough to scald a lizard outside.
But just when I thought my tail was permanently glued to “horizontal,” I heard about something that sent a jolt of pure, unadulterated excitement right through my handsome whiskers: a GIANT, 3-DAY BOOK SALE at Grand County Public Library!
That’s right, from Thursday, July 10th through Saturday, July 12th, the Friends of the Library are unleashing a dollar-a-bag book sale during regular library hours! We’re not just talking books, folks. We’re talking music CDs, DVD movies (remember those?), jigsaw puzzles, kid stuff, and more! For a measly dollar, you can fill an entire bag with these glorious treasures! What else can you buy for a single dollar and fill a whole bag? Not much, that’s what! This, my friends, is where the real value is! You might even plan on visiting more than once, as the librarians will be restocking throughout the sale. All 3 days will be different selections! Just be prepared to use cash or Venmo.
So, clear your schedules, raid your couch cushions for forgotten coinage, and for the love of all that is literary, find the biggest, sturdiest shopping bags possible! And remember, every cent from this stupendous sale goes right back into helping the library provide more quality programming for our amazing community.
Until then, take it easy, stay hydrated, and save every ounce of your energy for the inevitable stampede down to the Grand County Public Library book sale! You’ll need it.
