The Margaret L. Hopkin Middle School ended the year 2024 with a fun assembly on Thursday, December 19! Teachers performed incentives they had made for the Chuck Your Change Fundraiser that ended the week before.
Because students donated over $500, they got to see PE teacher Brook Shumway get a makeover, Officer Pratt get his head painted, teacher aid Mike McCue get his hair and beard dyed pink and green, Principal Barnard lip sync to “Let it Go” in an Elsa costume, and Brandon McKeel get duct taped to a wall and have water balloons thrown at him!
We also had special performances from the MLHMS Strings and the Beacon Taiko Drums. It was a lot of fun and a great way to kick off the Holiday Break! A big thanks to everyone who participated!
