The Masonic Foundation of Utah recently awarded a $1,000 grant to the Youth Garden Project. This grant continues the long-standing partnership between both groups.
The Masonic Foundation of Utah partners with nonprofit organizations throughout the state of Utah and offers funding for specific programming needs within qualifying organizations.
Youth Garden Project Executive Director Delite Primus said the foundation has been very generous in its support.
“We are grateful for the investment they make in the Moab community through their support of the Youth Garden Project,” she said.
The Youth Garden Project’s mission is to cultivate healthy children, families and community through educational programs and the act of connecting people with food from seed to table. It offers programs for youth ages 6-18 and events for all ages at its 1.5-acre acre garden setting, as well as throughout the community. Youth Garden’s programs are funded through donations from individuals, businesses and foundations such as the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation. For more information, go to www.youthgardenproject.org.
The Masonic Foundation of Utah is the charitable arm of the Grand Lodge. It distributes funds twice each year, awarding scholarships in July and grants to qualifying organizations in October. Every year, the foundation awards approximately $250,000 in scholarships and grants to individuals and organizations around the state.
