After months of construction and anticipation, the Moab Community Resource Center will hold a grand opening on March 4 from 12 to 4 p.m. The Moab Free Health Clinic led the effort to develop the former Utah State Univesity-Moab campus (121 W 200 S, Moab) into a hub for community health and support.
The resource center will now host the Free Clinic’s services as well as 13 partner organizations including Active Re-Entry, Community Nursing Services, Arches Education Center, Utah Foster Care, Moab Community Childcare, Multicultural Counseling Center, Nancy Anderson Counseling, Kyle Dern Therapy, Moab Area Community Land Trust, Moab Solutions, Science Moab, Rim to Rim Restoration, and the Grand County Public Library Teen Center.
Attendees to the open house will be able to tour the two renovated buildings and learn more about these organizations as well as participate in activities like a free vision test, painting a mural and winning raffle prizes provided by local businesses.
“The Moab Free Health Clinic appreciates the collaboration of the community to help develop this event and the Community Resource Center,” a press release stated.
