Obituary: Tracy Bullock, February 9, 1954 – March 22, 2022

Tracy Lee Halls Bullock, 68, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of Tuesday, March 22 at her home in Moab.

She is survived by—and the loving mother of—her children, Emily King (Nathan) and Bryon Bullock; her grandchildren, Lennon, Matisse, Loa, Carver and Ozzy; and her siblings, Vicki Halls, Tony Halls, Alex Halls, Kelly Halls (Severine), Cindy Halls and Shawna Halls-Hayden (Tom). She was preceded in passing by her husband, Brent Bullock; her parents, Clifford and Kitty Halls; and her brother, Curtis Halls.

Tracy was born on Feb. 9, 1954, in Telluride, Colorado. After spending one year in Telluride, the family moved to Moab where Cliff found work at the Times-Independent. Tracy married the love of her life, Brent, in 1977 and they purchased the Moab home they would live in for the rest of their lives.

Tracy’s biggest passions were motherhood, caregiving, and loving anyone and everyone under any circumstance. Everyone always knew they could count on her for support, hugs, laughs, chats and, above all, for genuine, authentic, unconditional love. She always had a consistent and unwavering desire to be available to her family and friends and for sharing her huge, strong heart. The love she gave will endure for generations.

After raising her children, Tracy took on the role of assistant manager at the Moab Liquor Store where she worked for 18 years before retiring in 2015. Brent and Tracy loved to take the kids fishing, camping and traveling. She cherished gardening in her backyard (she would often refer to it as her “church”) and canning picante sauce, peppers and tomatoes that she grew there.

Tracy will be dearly missed by the entire Moab community and by her family most of all.

Please join us in honoring Tracy at a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, April 2 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Rotary Park (680 S. Mill Creek Drive, Moab). You may send condolences to the family at www.spanishvalleymortuary.com.
