The Grand County Middle School Honor Society had a very successful food drive this November, running a competition between eighth-grade and seventh-grade first-hour classes.
The winners were Mr. Estenson’s eighth-grade class, which collected with 72 donations, and Ms. Murdock’s seventh-grade class, which collected 115 donations.
The Food Drive Committee, with help with transportation from Justin Mylroie, delivered 323 pounds of food to the Grand County Food Bank.
“The food drive was easy to handle with a really great outcome,” said Committee Chair Megan Lloyd. “I think we helped a lot of people.”
The Honor Society thanks the entire Grand County Middle School student body for their participation and wishes the town of Moab a happy Thanksgiving.
