Moab Rotary Club member Britta Kingsley (left rear), Moab Rotary Club President Dave Bierschied and club member Danette Johnson recently presented dictionaries to 20 third-grade students at Moab Charter School.
The dictionary donations are a Rotary International project that the local Rotarians adopted several years ago.
“We had a lot of fun getting them to look up some words in their new book and they were quite excited when they found out that they could keep the book,” Moab Rotary Club member Joe Kingsley said.
Several of the group’s members previously donated dictionaries to third-graders at Helen M. Knight Elementary. Altogether, about 140 students received their own personal dictionaries this year, according to Kingsley.
