A $2,500 grant was awarded to the Youth Garden Project to support the organization’s internship program courtesy of the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation.
Rocky Mountain Power has offered funding toward the Youth Garden Project Internship Program since its creation in 2011.
Kaitlin Thomas, executive director of the Youth Garden Project (YGP), said the organization is grateful for the years of support from Rocky Mountain Power Foundation.
“It is with the support of Rocky Mountain Power Foundation that we are able to offer a high-quality internship program for young people, who in turn positively impact every program we have at YGP,” Thomas said. “When Rocky Mountain Power supports YGP and the internship program, they are also supporting access to well-rounded programs for Moab’s community members of all ages.”
YGP’s mission is to cultivate healthy children, families and community through educational programs and activities that connect people with food from seed to table.
“The Rocky Mountain Power Foundation partners with organizations to help support the growth and vitality of the communities we serve,” said Deb Dull, Rocky Mountain Power customer and community manager. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to provide this assistance to the Youth Garden Project here in Moab.”
