Jeri Margaret (Brown) Foy, April 15, 1953 – March 2, 2017

Jeri Foy, 63, passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on March 2, 2017.

Jeri was born on April 15, 1953, in Borger, Texas, to John and Dixie Brown. She was the third child of four daughters. Though Jeri was born in Texas, she celebrated her first birthday here in Moab, Utah. Moab is her home! Jeri graduated from Grand County High School in 1971 and soon after married Jack R. Foy Sr. on June 26, 1971. Together, they raised two sons and one daughter. Her greatest treasures were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren – and, of course, her rose garden. Jeri started working for the Grand County School Lunch Program when her children were young and retired many years later. Jeri had a strong faith in God and was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.

Jeri was preceded in death by her dad, John Brown; her sister, Gayle Dalton; and her beloved doggy, Pippin. Jeri is survived by her husband, Jack R. Foy Sr.; her mom, Dixie Brown; her sisters, Leah Kay Foy and Lisa (Tommy) Byrum; her children, Jack R. (Kristin) Foy Jr., Corey (Michaelle) Foy and Shelley (William) Hupp; her grandchildren, Bridget (Carlos) Padilla, Tiffany (Jeremiah) Windsor, Kylie Foy, Tyler Foy, Brendan Foy, Quincy Clark, Chloe Rapier, Cameron Clark, Christopher Hupp, Carrie Hupp and William Hupp Jr.; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass for Jeri will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the St. Pius X Catholic Church. A viewing will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017, at 6 p.m. with Rosary service at 7 p.m.

There has been a Memorial Fund set up in Jeri Foy’s name at Mountain America Credit Union in lieu of flowers.
