Moab Charter School Director James Lewis (seated) made faces as students Stella McGowan (left front), Maggie Groene and Rosalee Thomas (right front) dyed his hair pink – their reward as the school’s top readers during National Reading Month.
First-grade teacher Jamie MacGregor (left rear), sixth-grade teacher Bettina Oesch and fifth-grade teacher Stacia Dickson are also pictured.
Lewis agreed to the challenge after the school met its goal on Thursday, March 9, of reading 1,250 hours outside of class.
The celebration continued as students walked to Rotary Park and enjoyed popsicles, art projects and PE activities.
