We lost a good man!
William (Bill) Eckenbrecht passed away in his home in Moab, Utah.
Bill had a great sense of humor and was loved by his family and many friends.
He was a highly skilled dirt bike rider and restorer of vintage dirt bikes.
He was a brave cancer survivor and a thoughtful son and brother.
Bill was born and grew up in Ogden, Utah. He attended Ogden High School and Utah State University, where he received a Master’s degree in public administration. He was affiliated with the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He was employed by the State of Utah in Salt Lake City and moved to their offices in Moab in 1995. He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve.
He is survived by his mother, Joyce Eckenbrecht and four siblings, Kathryn Eckenbrecht (Douglas Felt), Janet Kuennemann (Eckhard), Kurt Eckenbrecht (Cindy), and Tracey Eckenbrecht. He had 7 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry William Eckenbrecht, and his sweetheart, Terry Valentine.
We will miss his contagious laugh, warm smile and loving heart.

There will be a graveside service on Wednesday May 10, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Leavitt’s Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street, in Ogden, Utah 84403.
Family and friends are welcome.
