Vesta Johnson Wade Morgan Clements

Vesta Johnson Wade Morgan Clements died on January 8, 2016.

She was born on June 10, 1925, to Leonel Bengt Johnson and Blanch Beardall Johnson in Provo, Utah. She married Edward A. Wade on December 25, 1941. They had eight children. He died on September 10, 1984. She married Joe Morgan on January 6, 1985; he on died August 1, 1997. She married Johnny Clements on June 12, 1999; he died on April 29, 2002.

Vesta and Eddie were rockhounds and loved to go out rock hunting. On one of these excursions, they discovered a new rock that was named after them, Osmundacaulis Wadei. They were very proud to have this discovery named after them.

Vesta loved to cook and bake and at one time she baked bread and cinnamon rolls for the Cattlemen’s. She loved to have family get-togethers and cook for everyone. She was a really good cook and was known for her fried chicken, which was a family favorite.

Vesta is survived by her sister, Arlene Parks; daughters, Susan (Ernie) Lisonbee; Sally (Doug) Allen; Michelle (Keith) Holyoak; Janet (Reggie) Gay and sons, Edward Leonel (Linda) Wade; Sterling (Josie) Wade and Vint (Donna) Wade; 23 grandkids, 59 great-grandkids and 23 great-great-grandkids. She was preceded in death by six sisters, Hester McFadden, Leola West, Zelma Sorenson, Vera Rule (her twin), Elfonda Sargent, and one brother, Roland Johnson. She was also preceded by one son, Shane; and a grandson, Matt.

Funeral services were held on January 13, 2016, at the Moab LDS Chapel on 400 North.
