Hello and meow everyone, Cosmo the Library Cat here. The New Year is settling in, and I am focusing on self-care. As I enter my large print era, I want to ensure that my teeth aren’t gonna check out on me. So, I am learning to fight tooth decay one chapter at a time. (See what I did there?)
In this spirit, I’m pleased to announce Grand County Public Library’s special dental health themed story hour: “Tooth Tales” is happening on Saturday, January 10 at 10:30 a.m. at the Grand County Public Library, and you’re invited.
“Tooth Tales” will feature fun stories and activities all about your pearly-whites and how to take care of them. Toothbrushes and toothpaste will be given to all participants. Dibs on the mackerel pâté flavor! This fun storytime is geared towards children from 0 to 9 years old and their caregivers. However, all ages are welcome.
There are cats out there who get their teeth brushed regularly by their humans, but thank goodness, I am not one of them. While toothbrushes and dental floss are great for humans, I pity the fool who tries to floss my fangs. Luckily, I have a totally sugar-free diet and I mostly eat crunchy food, which helps keep my chompers healthy and strong.
Take good care of your teeth so that they are clean, strong, and sharp! Problems with your teeth and gums can affect your entire physical well-being—not to mention making it very hard to munch on your favorite crunchy snacks. Kibble doesn’t chew itself!
I hope to see you and your toothy grin at the library very soon! Meow for now!
