The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office is inviting public comments on the proposed renewal of commercial Special Recreation Permits for the B and C sections of the Green River.
Thirteen commercial outfitters currently operate under these permits, offering guided river trips, hiking, camping, and fishing excursions. As these permits expire over the coming years, existing operators may apply for renewals to continue providing these services.
The BLM is seeking feedback on the potential impacts of renewing these permits. The 15-day public comment period is open now and runs until April 4, 2025. Comments can be submitted through the BLM National NEPA Register.
