Hello my friends! As longtime readers of my column know, I’m not just a library cat. I’m a writer, a reader, a bit of a scientist, musician and artist – a real renaissance cat, in other words! It is my artistic soul that speaks to you today.
I’m here to tell you about a special program from Grand County Public Library: an Art Adventure with visiting collage artist Michael Albert.
Michael Albert’s art transforms recycled cereal boxes and paperboard into vibrant, colorful works of art. And that’s what we’ll be doing on Wednesday, July 10 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Grand County Public Library in Moab. Artists of all ages are invited to this multi-generational collaborative art experience! Together we’ll make masterpieces out of muesli boxes and turn Frosted Flakes into frescoes.
Works by Michael Albert are currently hanging by the library’s front desk and in the large meeting room, so come by and check those out before (or during) the event! This event is free, and all supplies will be provided by the library, so all you’ll need to bring is a bit of creative energy. I hope to see you there!
