Cosmo’s Corner: How far can Cosmo go this summer?

Meow and hello from your good buddy, Cosmo the Library Cat! The busy librarians at Grand County Public Library have created a way for yours truly to get out and have some adventures without ever having to leave my comfy home!

With your help, the library’s “How Far Can Cosmo Go?” display will soon be full of photos of my handsome visage joining you on your summer adventure, whether literary or real-life. Next time you go somewhere unusual, snap a picture of your Cosmo sticker, bookmark, or T-shirt in its new surroundings and send it to us.

So far, my lovely likeness has been paddle boarding on Ken’s Lake, visited Dinosaur National Monument and Bryce Canyon, and I’ve joined a sumptuous picnic along the Colorado River! As for journeys of the mind, a Cosmo bookmark peeking out of your book about the Amazon rainforest or the Gobi desert would be great too, for example. Whether you’re in Narnia or Nairobi, Oslo or outer space, remember to bring me along!

You can email your photo with a caption or description to grandcountylibrary@gmail.com and we’ll print it out and add it to the display (located by the Moab Library’s front desk). Cosmo bookmarks are available for free at the library, and if you join our summer reading program, you’ll receive a super-sweet, newly-designed Cosmo sticker just for signing up! There are so many ways to have fun with the library this summer, but this one will be extra spectacular! I wonder where I’ll get to travel next?
