Staff at Margaret L. Hopkin announced the May students of the month: Jennifer Henry and Capri Gordon.
Seventh-grader Jennifer Henry is a kind and polite young lady. She rarely misses school and works hard to keep her grades up. Jennifer isn’t afraid to ask for help when she needs it. She is good at putting puzzles together. She loves to play the violin and her favorite is the stage violin. Her nickname is Jenny and her favorite colors are black and red. Jennifer’s favorite movie is “Avatar 2” and she really likes drawing books! Her favorite teacher is Ms. Salazar because she is kind, and that is also her advice to others: “Be kind!”
Eighth-grader Capri Gordon is being recognized for her dedication to hard work, ability to stay on task, consistent kindness towards staff and peers, and her commendable approach to seeking and providing help when necessary. Capri’s favorite color is pink and her nickname is “Caprino.” She also plays the violin and she loves English class. Capri’s favorite place to go is Universal Studios and she loves to watch romance movies. Her advice to her fellow classmates is: “If you follow your passion, it will eventually lead to success in the future!”
