Moab Valley Fire honors James Nash

40 years of dedication to community

Chief TJ Brewer and the Moab Valley Fire Department celebrated firefighter James Nash’s remarkable 40 years of service to both the department and the Moab community. Nash joined the volunteer department in 1983 and has remained an active and dedicated member, driven by his childhood dream of becoming a firefighter.

“I love being a part of the brotherhood that Moab Fire Department has,” Nash said.

Over the decades, Nash has served as a lieutenant, captain, and currently as an engineer.

“Anyone who is willing to dedicate 40 years as a volunteer firefighter is a true hero in my book,” Chief Brewer commented. “I credit a lot of who I am today to Jimmy’s leadership and friendship. Moab is lucky to have people like you among them.”
