Our loving mother, Marjorie Stocks, passed away at the age of 91 on July 20, 2023, at Ashford Assisted Living in Springville, Utah.
She is survived by her children, Lauri Stout (Steve), Bryan McKinnon (Belinda), Merri Floto (Neil), step-daughter Ann Broncheau; her sister, LaRae Forbes; 8 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; her brother, Donald King; and her sister, Vauna Winn.
Mom was an active member of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she served faithfully in many callings throughout her life.
Marge graduated from East Carbon High and then attended Carbon College in Price until her marriage in 1950. Later divorced, she raised her three children in East Carbon. She worked at the missile base in Green River where she met Larry. The two married and moved the family to Moab in June 1969. Marjorie and Larry were later sealed in the Monticello Temple.
She worked at the National Park Service until 1992, then she and Larry spent their retirement years traveling and camping. Marge moved to the Springville area after Larry’s death and enjoyed being near her family.
Marge was a very talented person and spent a lot of her time making jewelry and creating beautiful dolls which she shared with family and friends.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 25 at the Moab LDS Church, with family and friends received prior to the service. Internment followed at the Grand Valley Cemetery.
