The National Park Service released a statement addressing the death of a 71-year-old Massachusetts man within Arches National Park today. The unidentified man was reportedly hiking with his wife and son when he collapsed and became unresponsive. First responders from the National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, Classic Air Medical and Grand County EMS responded to the scene and CPR was performed, but the man was pronounced dead on the scene, according to the NPS statement.
