Mary Carol Wright Hawks, dearest wife of Brent Hawks, passed away peacefully on April 2 in the beautiful home she created with her husband.
Hawks was born on March 13, 1957, to Kendall and Carolyn Wright in Richland, Washington, the only sister among five brothers.
Hawks and her husband Brent began their life together on June 14, 1980, and were soon prayed to California by her mother, who wanted to be near her only daughter. Brent’s job took them to Hollister, California, where their family grew to include five boys, who were Hawks’ world.
Hawks is preceded in death by her parents, Kendall R. Wright and Eunice Carolyn Shaw, and her brother, Isaac. She is survived by her husband, Brent; their five sons, Michael (Kathryn); Matthew (Corie); Jeffrey (Rachel); Brian (Arielle); and David (Kalle); and 11 grandchildren; her four brothers, Kendall (Linda); David (Donna); Norman (Kathryn, deceased); James (Lori); and Brent’s parents, Ralph and Marylin Hawks; and siblings, Steve (Jaylyn) Hawks; (Mike) Chris Holyoak; Jimmy (Wynette) Hawks; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services were held in Hollister, California, on Thursday, April 11. Interment and graveside services will be held in Moab, at Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery, on Saturday, April 13, at 2 p.m. Following the services, family and friends are invited to a luncheon at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Locust Lane.
