Nick Phipps, of Moab, takes his pet skunk, Jack, for regular walks each week at Swanny City Park near the Moab Recreation and Aquatics Center (MRAC). Phipps said he purchased the skunk as a pet from a breeder in Iowa, adding that the skunk is neutered, up-to-date on its rabies shots and has had its glands removed to prevent it from spraying. “He’s very friendly,” Phipps said.
