A person was rescued at Delicate Arch on Saturday, Oct. 20, by the Grand County EMS and Arches National Park Search and Rescue, after sustaining a reported ankle injury, according to EMS director Andy Smith. On Friday, Oct. 19, a rockfall was reported inside the park. Grand County EMS said its staff did not make it to the scene because the person(s) with injuries had self-extricated themselves. National Park Service officials declined to comment on the incident, but said the rockfall was “minor” and they will not be releasing further details about the location of the incident or the reported injuries.
