The Grand County Faith Based Coalition celebrated its first anniversary with a dinner meeting on Tuesday, March 6, at the Grand Center.
Last year’s accomplishments included a June food drive for the Grand County Food Bank, back-to-school materials donations to the Moab Valley Multicultural Center, a suicide prevention awareness training, participation in the Christmas Light Parade, donations to the afternoon snack program at the Grand County Library and sponsoring the presentations featuring former Columbine High School Principal Frank DeAngelis.
Plans for the coming year include youth addiction prevention programs in connection with Grand County High School and continuation of projects similar to those listed.
Interested persons may contact Pastor Dick Pacheco at 435-260-2755 or Bruce Louthan at 435-260-0936. Membership in a church or religious group is not required and all are welcome to meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Grand Center, 182 N. 500 West.
