Canyonlands Field Institute, Sheri Griffith Expeditions, HawkWatch International and the Moab Bird Club joined forces on Saturday, March 10, for the 21st Annual Eagle Float. Fifteen participants rafted the 25-mile length of Horsethief and Ruby canyons on the Colorado River between Loma, Colorado, and the Westwater Ranger Station. Birders from beginner to expert enjoyed the sunshine, the river and watching bald eagles incubating eggs on their nests.
