Aliester Ekman was chosen as Moab Charter School’s Student of the Month for January 2018.
He is the son of Anthony Ekman and Jenifer Costanza.
One day, Aliester saw a charter school teacher headed to the boys bathroom with an interesting tool and volunteered to help the teacher unclog a toilet – something that would never be asked of a student.
“Thank you, Aliester, for your willingness to help out the greater good of the school,” school officials said. “Your positive ‘can-do’ attitude is a gift! Thank you for sharing it with us.”
Aliester’s favorite thing about Moab Charter School is the fact that he gets to do a lot of outside activities. His favorite subject is math, and in his spare time, he really likes to play soccer.
Aliester is also a fish expert. He consistently has new and interesting facts to share about fish and fishing.
